 D Some people say I'm crazy, they  G  just don't understand,
While  A  others call me lazy and wouldn't give me a  D  hand.
They may think I'm weird  when they  G  see this long hair and beard,
It  A  may seem funny but I  G  really just don't  D  care.

 D  As the days go by and the  G  older we get,
It's  A  harder to remember and much easier to for D get.
 D  Younger folks may laugh at us and  G  shake their head,
 A  They may think we're crazy but we're  G  sure as hell not  D  dead.

 D  I passed an older gentleman as I was  G  walking down the street, 
He had  A  long hair and tattered clothes with sandals on his  D  feet.
 D  Some people might think, he's just some  G  crazy, homeless man,
But  A  all he really needs is a loving, helping  D  hand.

 D  Much of our society are  G  more liberal folks.
 A  They've gotten much more leanient about  G  alcohol and  D  dope. 
 D  So if we see more health issues in  G  society as a whole,
 A  It doesn't mean that we're crazy, we're just getting  D  old.
